The Desert Holly Home Owners Association is proud to present a tour of Desert Holly, the city’s newest midcentury historic district! Built in 1957, the 14-unit complex is located in the popular Sunrise Park neighborhood and is comprised of eight buildings surrounding a large pool. Constructed by talented Long Beach master builder and developer William J. O’Brien, Jr. (who was influenced by Chinese-American modernist architects Eugene Kinn Choy and Kenneth S. Wing), Desert Holly is a rare architectural gem in the heart of Palm Springs. At least 6 units will be open for touring and you’ll have an opportunity to meet and talk to the homeowners who have preserved the integrity of this very special property. This is a self-guided tour and tourgoers will receive a four-page color collectible handout.
