Neutra - Survival Through Design is a feature documentary into the life and work of Austrian/ American Architect Richard Neutra -- the legacy which continues to this day through the work of son Dion Neutra, who was intimately involved with the day to day work for over 30 years.
Survival Through Design, the title derived from the prophetic 1954 book by Richard Neutra, is a personal, passionate, colorful, cross cultural journey, told by our distinguished interviewees, and filmed on location in Vienna, Austria; Berlin, Germany; Locarno, Switzerland; Wuppertal, Germany; and of course Los Angeles, and Palm Springs.
Written and directed by PJ Letofsky; produced by Newcastle Productions. Executive Producer Christopher Ball and European Producer Peter Rabitz. Starring Dion Neutra, Raymond Neutra and Barbara Lamprecht M. Arch., Ph.D. Featuring Alan Hess, Harriet Roth, Volker M. Welter, Elana Shapira, Michael Stern, and others, including Sir Norman Foster KBE OM, and Moshe Safdie FAIA.
